Donald Sharrett
Donald Leroy Sharrett, 82, of Celina, died Jan. 22, 2007, in Tampa, Fla.
He was born December 13, 1924, in Dayton, to Irvin Adophas and Grace Mildred Sharrett. His stepmother, Mildred Cantor Sharrett, also is deceased. He married Betty Hoffman Sharrett, who also is deceased.
Survivors are a son, James R., Carey; two daughters, Joyce (George) Csanadi, Tampa, and Denise (Doug) Slater, Dayton; two brothers, Robert E., Dayton, and William W., Jacksonville, Fla.; three half brothers, Henry T., John H. and Lawrence, all of Bristol, Tenn.; two half sisters, Barbara (James) Hochwalt, Dayton, and Kathy Schoeff, Norton, Va.; and six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandson.
Deceased are a daughter, Diane; and two brothers, Irvin A. Jr. and Earl.
He was employed at the Royal Crest Dairy and later owned and operated several businesses and restaurants in the Dayton area. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in the South Pacific Theatre during World War II, and was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, Englewood, and several Masonic Bodies and the Scottish Rite.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, Carey, the Revs. Cynthia Morrison and Mike DeLong officiating.
