Nicholas Gehret
Nicholas John Gehret, 49, of Wenger Road, Anna, died late afternoon Feb. 15, 2007, at his home. Death was due to suicide.
He was born March 25, 1957, in Coldwater to Alfred N. and Rose G. Albers Gehret, who survive in Anna. On July 27, 1985, he married Joyce M. Dietz, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ryan, Anna; four daughters, Gina, Laura, Rachel and Krista, all of Anna; five brothers, Bill (Lisa), Dale and Tim (Beth), all of Anna, John, Celina, and Greg (Erika), Kettering; five sisters, Carol (Larry) Holmes, Greenville, Martha (Charles) Hoying, Kettering, Lucy (Don) Post, Anna, Barb (Chuck) Sturwold, Troy, and Sue (Jim) Gurski, Bellefontaine; a father-in-law, Clifford Dietz, Botkins; two brothers-in-law, Bill (Donna) Dietz and Bob (Lois) Dietz, both of Botkins; five sisters-in-law, Kathy (James) Heitkamp, Houston, Janice (Lee) Wellman, New Knoxville, Anita (Gary) Bornhorst, Botkins, and Judy (Scott) Smith and Lisa (Ron) Elliott, all of Sidney.
Deceased are infant twins, Joseph and Nichole; and a mother-in-law, Grace Dietz.
He had worked at Crown Equipment, New Bremen. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, where he served as Eucharistic minister. He was a member of McCartyville/St. Patrick Knights of Columbus and was a 1975 graduate of Anna High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Pat Welsh officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
