Jim Derringer
Jim G. Derringer, 74, 300 state Route 119, Fort Recovery, died at 3:13 p.m. Feb. 17, 2007, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Portland, Ind., to Charlie and Ruth Hastings Derringer. On Oct. 12, 1968, he married Rhonda L. Roberts, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Deanna, Portland, and Karen Swarkorski, Key West, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Lana Bias, Ridgeville, Ind., Twila (Larry) Blowers, Greenville, and Pam (Rick) Gabbard, Winchester, Ind.; two stepsons, Kenny (Helen) Williams, Saratoga, Ind., and Darrell, Portland; a brother, Tommy (Betty), Portland; two sisters, Peggy Montgomery and Nancy, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; 19 grandchildern and 28 great-grandchildern.
Deceased are a stepson Jeff Williams; a sister, Patty Jo Kelly; and a brother, Bobby.
He retired as a supervisor from Union City Body Company, Union City, Ind. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fort Recovery, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge Post 928, Portland.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
