Raymond Puthoff
Raymond H. Puthoff, 85, 3856 state Route 119, St. Henry, died at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 23, 2007, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born June 22, 1921, in Maria Stein, to Anthony and Frances Leugers Puthoff. On Sept. 25, 1948, he married Agnes Kaup, who survives.
Also surviving are 11 sons, David (Mary), St. Marys, and Frank (Patricia), Kenneth (Debra), James (Cheryl), Ronald (Joan), Kevin (Ann) and Jeffrey, all of St. Henry, Donald (Teresa), Columbus, Gregory (Jenifer), Rockford, Michael, Atlanta, Ga., and Randal (Ann), Delaware; four daughters, Karen (Tim) Kosters, Fort Wayne, Ind., Kathryn (Carl) Hart, Nancy and Susan, both of St. Henry, and Virginia (Douglas) Seitz, Coldwater; a brother, Merinus (Alice), Maria Stein; a brother-in-law, Cyril Link, Burkettsville; 34 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Henry, Norb, Richard and Othmar; and two sisters, Eleanor Fortman and Pauline Link.
He was a general foreman at the former Avco New Idea Corp., Coldwater. A past school board member for St. Henry Local Schools, he also was a member of the Maria Stein American Legion and St. Henry Catholic Church, where he served on the parish council during the building of the catechetical center.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Maria Stein American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
