Arthur Krick
Arthur W. Krick, 85, 814 Kingswood Drive, Celina, died March 18, 2007, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born April 8, 1921, in Ohio City, to Henry and Cynthia Ellen Murray Krick. On June 19, 1946, he married Leoma Bensman, who died in 1999. In 2000, he married Lois Garwood, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Wayland (Claudia), Williamsburg, Va.; three daughters, Janice Schmidt, Norfolk, Va., Rebecca (Calvin) Martin, Warner Robins, Ga., and Linda Rolfes, Celina; two brothers, Eugene (Betty), Spencerville, and Robert, Celina; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother Henry Jr., and a sister, Dora Simpson.
He retired as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Air Force, serving 28 years in the Army Air Corps and Air Force. He taught at Osgood, St. John and Parkway schools for 10 years and was general manager of the Elks Golf Course. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master's degree in education at Wright State University. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, American Legion Post 210, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Post 1291, Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 1800, and was a past Exhalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 2170, all of Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
