An investigation into the cause of a Monday fire that destroyed a rural Celina home is continuing with a representative from the Ohio Fire Marshal's Office expected to tour the scene this morning.
The home, owned by Brian Bilger, 3433 Carmel Church Road, has been listed as a total loss despite the efforts of the Celina Fire Department and mutual aid from neighboring Chattanooga and Rockford departments. [More]

Local firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Celina on Friday night after a passer-by spotted flames and alerted other residents of the 125 N. Enterprise St. complex.

Current and proposed increases in ethanol production have significantly increased the cost of corn for feed on Ohio dairy farms and the local area is no exception.
On March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Maria Stein American Legion, the OSU Extension will hold a program for dairy farmers on feeding distillers' grains (DGs) to cattle. DGs, a byproduct of ethanol production, can be a less expensive substitute for shelled corn. [More]
