At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

James Farrell
James "Jim" Farrell, 73, of Fowler, Ind., died at 1:06 a.m. March 30, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette, Ind.
He was born Sept. 27, 1933, in Goodland, Ind., to Maurice and Bernadetta Bower Farrell. On June 29, 1957, he married Shirley Wetli, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jim (Sandy), Elkhart, Ind.; two daughters, Angle (Jim) Schneidt, Celina, and Geralyn (Tim) Bird, Fowler; a brother, Dave (Marge), Fowler; two sisters, Barbara (Leland) Mayhew, Kentland, Ind.; and Jane (Bill) Lyons, Westfield, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
He retired as a farmer in 2005 and worked at Moews Seed Corn, Boswell, Ind. A 1951 graduate of Goodland High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dunnington, the Catholic Order of Forresters, Holy Name Society, the American Legion Post 57, and served on the committee of Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service (ASCS) office, both of Fowler.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Donald Gross officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Yuill-Shoemaker Funeral Home, Boswell, Ind., where a rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m.
Contributions can be made to the Lung Association or Benton County Catholic School Educational Trust.
