Viola Headapohl
Viola A.M. Headapohl, 92, formerly of 109 E. Front St., New Bremen, died at 9:17 a.m. April 5, 2007, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born July 23, 1914, in New Bremen, to Edward and Emma Oberwitte Hirschfeld. On May 18, 1937, she married Paul D. Headapohl, who died Dec. 21, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane (Robert) Paul, New Bremen; a brother, Verlin (Enola) Hirschfeld, New Bremen; a sister-in-law, Esther Dicke, New Bremen; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a infant brother.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Bremen, and its former Women's Guild of the Church, taught Sunday school for over 60 years and was a accompanist on the piano at church services at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. Richard Weir and John Tostrick officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
