At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Clarence Evers
Mercer County native Clarence "Dick" Evers, 88, 4628 state Route 705, New Weston, died at 11:30 a.m. April 9, 2007, at his home.
He was born May 1, 1918, in Mercer County, to Clem and Theresa Lange Evers. On Aug. 18, 1951, he married Rita Siegrist, who survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Patrick, Rossburg, Charles (Gina), New Weston, Stephen (Sally), Greenville, and Michael J., St. Henry; two daughters, Jacalyn (Nicholas) Grillot, Versailles, and Jeannie (Darin) Denlinger, Tipp City; four brothers, Herbert, Gregor (Marian) Evers, and Clem Jr., all of St. Henry, and Edward (Rita), Burkettsville; a sister, Freda (Sylvan) Siegrist, Maria Stein; three sisters-in-law, Ann and Irene, both of St. Henry, and Esther Wuebker, Fort Recovery; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Florence, Harold, Walter and Henry; a daughter-in-law, Debra; and two grandchildren.
He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery where a military service will be conducted by the St. Henry American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
