Robert Kantner
Robert M. Kantner, 59, 818 Kimberly Drive, St. Marys, died at 11:35 a.m. April 22, 2007, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born July 15, 1947, in Lima, to Norman L. and Mabel Malston Kantner. His mother survives in Lima. On Jan. 20, 2004, he married JoAnn Slone, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Timothy (Tracy) and Douglas, all of Lima; a daughter, Annette (Larry) Sexton, Cridersville; a stepson, Jeremy Newbauer, Dayton; two stepdaughters, Heather (Brian) Nicholson, Dayton, and Tara Newbauer, St. Marys; five brothers, James (Elsie), Lima, William (Toni), St. Marys, and Richard (Terry), Kenneth and Daniel, all of Wapakoneta; and 10 grandchildren.
He retired after 30 years from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a 1966 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He also was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagle Aerie 691, Wapakoneta, and a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Revs. Laban Daniel and Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, where military rites will be performed.
Calling is 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
