Donald Felver
Donald W. Felver, 91, 3105 Shore Drive, Celina, died at 10:20 p.m. June 26, 2007, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 22, 1916, in Liberty Township, to George A. and Zoa Del Wilson Felver. On May 25, 1962, he married Ardith Sawmiller, who died Aug. 12, 2005.
Surviving are a son, David (Lori) Sawmiller, Beavercreek; a daughter, Carol (Richard) Gaulrapp, Ann Arbor, Mich.; a brother, Lowell, Celina; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He retired in 1980 as a salesman from Kerns Chevrolet, Celina, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 during World War II, working on the B-24 Aircraft at Willow Run, Mich. He was a graduate of Rockford High School and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, American Legion Post 210 and Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 241, both of Celina, National Rifle Association and Mercer County Sportsman's Association.
Services are 4 p.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, with graveside military rites being conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713.
Calling is 1-4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
