Mary Romer
Mary E. Romer, 92, of Fort Recovery, died at 10:10 p.m. July 10, 2007, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1914, in Decatur, Ind., to Otto B. and Sylvia M. Droppleman Green. On Nov. 29, 1934, she married Alfred J. Romer, who died May 1, 1993.
Survivors are three sons, Ron (Pauline), Celina, and Ken (Elaine) and Dave (Rita), all of Fort Recovery; a son-in-law, Tom McGlenn, Huntington Beach, Calif.; a sister, Jayne Tobe, St. Henry; a stepsister-in-law, Dolores Vian, Greenville; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Diane McGlenn; two half brothers, Robert and Joe; a half sister, Betty Schockman; and a great-grandson.
She was a homemaker and member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, and its Altar-Rosary Sodality, the Daughters of Isabella Circle 810, Fort Recovery and the Prayer Guild, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Charles Mullen officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, where a prayer service will be held by the Daughters of Isabella at 7 p.m. Friday.
