At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Edward Grant Jr.
Edward Grant Jr., 51, 817 Rosedale Ave., St. Marys, died Aug. 15, 2007, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Death was due to an apparent heart attack.
He was born Oct. 3, 1955, in Norfolk, Va., to Edward and Shirley Spencer Grant. His father survives in St. Marys, and his mother is deceased. On Nov. 5, 1999, he married Kristina Minnich, who survives at the residence.
Also surviving are two brothers, Robert (Teresa) and Jack (Teri), all of St. Marys; a sister, Cam, St. Marys; and a mother-in-law, Barbara Minnich, St. Marys.
He worked as a metal fabricator at Acme Metal, St. Marys, was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a 1974 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Spencer officiating. There will be no burial.
Calling is 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
