Rex Beldon
Rockford native Rex L. Beldon, 76, of Archbold, died Oct. 7, 2007, at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice, Center, following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 12, 1931, in Rockford, to Seth and Margaret Bauman Beldon. In 1968, he married Louise Troeger, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, John (Wendy), Archbold; a son-in-law, Bill Hartman, Bryan; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Janice Beldon Hartman; two brothers, Reid and Paul; and five sisters, Viola Wood, Velma Weitz, Edith Druhot, Pearl Schmidt and Dorothy Halstead.
He worked in various areas of the dairy industry including as an artificial inseminator, milk tester and fieldman for Milk Marketing. A 1949 graduate of the former Wren High School, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wauseon, and a U.S. Army National Guard veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Timothy Sonnenberg and Roger Marlow officiating. Burial is at Archbold Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
