Infant massage

Jean Siefring of Burkettsville performs an infant massage procedure on her nearly 3-week-old son, Keith, as his big sister, Allison, 6, keeps a close eye during the free session at Mercer Health on Thursday evening. Instructor Sandy Dorsten says massaging infants in specific manners can help babies sleep better, relieve colic and stomach discomforts, soothe, deepen bonds and improve overall parental confidence. The classes are given in four-week increments at the hospital at various times throughout the year.
