Richard Barber
Richard M. Barber, 61, formerly of 519 Cron St., Celina, died at 2 a.m. Oct. 14, 2007, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Dec. 30, 1945, in Mercer County, to John C. and Opal VanTilburg Barber. His mother survives in Rockford. His former wife, Jane Butler, survives in Van Wert.
Also surviving are a son, Tracy Barber, Lima; two daughters, Denise (Matt) Bollenbacher, Bridge City, Texas, and DeAnne, Van Wert; a brother, Don (Karen), Mendon; two sisters, Ginny (Bob) Hoenie, Del Rio, Texas, and Marilyn Hoenie, Celina; and five grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, John Robert "Bob."
He had worked at Huffy Bicycle Corp., Celina. He was a 1966 graduate of the former Mendon-Union High School and was a member of Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jim Keiser officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
