James Hawkins
James A. Hawkins, 81, 514 Touvelle St., Celina, died at 2:57 a.m. Oct. 22, 2007, at his home.
He was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Hickman, Ky., to Reed and Della Hawkins. On Dec. 16, 1944, he married Autia Mae Stephens, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Ronnie S. (Deborah) and Donnie (Joyce), all of Celina; two daughters, Jamie Sue Colbert, Mendon, and Judith Ann (Van Allen) Vornholt, Horn Lake, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Albert Lee; a half brother, Eugene Cunningham; and a half sister, Polly Henderson.
He retired as a dye setter at the former New Idea plant in Coldwater. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 210 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, both of Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Bill Lewis officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
