Tow truck personnel remove a 2000 Chevy pickup truck from a channel near Hecht's Landing, 8583 state Route 219, Celina, on Tuesday morning. The owner, 55-year-old John E. Brewster Jr. of Ludlow Falls, had been fishing the previous night when the vehicle rolled into the water. He reportedly did not wish to awaken anyone and left only to return the next morning to discover deputies, Montezuma firefighters and the Celina Fire Department dive team at the scene. A nearby resident alerted the sheriff's office at 9:07 a.m. after spotting the partially submerged truck and the dive team was dispatched due to concerns someone might be inside. Brewster received a disorderly conduct citation.
