Harold Hiday
Harold R. "Dutch" Hiday, 82, of Portland, Ind., died at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 26, 2007, at his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1925, in Noblesville, Ind., to Harry and Mary Smith Hiday. On June 6, 1948, he married Marilyn J. Keller, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Ted, Celina, and Tim, Salamonia, Ind.; three daughters, Tamara Gordon, Celina, Toneta Bailey, Portland, and Teresa, Alvin Texas; two brothers, Joe, Bryant, Ind., and Malcolm, Ossian, Ind.; a sister, Marilee Blankenbecker, Bluffton, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Tonya; a brother, Chester; and a sister, Juanita Martin.
He was a retired Adams and Jay county farmer and formerly worked at Micro-Precision/Textron, Berne, as a machinist. He attended Petroleum High School of Indiana.
Services are 6 p.m. Thursday at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, Ind., the Rev. Moe Hodge officiating. Calling is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. His body is being cremated.
