Ricky Hans
Former Findlay resident Ricky Lee Hans, 52, 691 Coventry Green, St. Marys, was found dead at his home Dec. 14, 2007. A cause of death was not available at press time.
He was born June 5, 1955, in Lima, to Louis and Mary Cathcart Hans. His father is deceased; his mother survives in Celina. His first wife, Linda Ballinger Harner, survives in Celina; a second wife, Karen Fortman Hans, survives in Findlay.
Other survivors are two sons, Nathan and David, of Findlay; two daughters, Susan Coutee, Celina, and Lisa, New York, N.Y.; a sister, Linda (Blase) Oleyar, Botkins; and two grandchildren.
He retired from the University of Findlay and worked in the hazardous materials clean-up industry. He was a 1973 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5713, Celina, and First Presbyterian Church, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Keith Kivlin officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
