At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Doyt T. Thomas
Doyt T. Thomas, 82, 605 Black Oak Drive, St. Marys, died 12:05 a.m., Dec. 27, 2007 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 20, 1925, near Elgin, to Howard and Ruth Boroff Thomas. He was first married to Evelyn Wade and then to Ann Bowersock, both of whom are deceased.
Surviving are companion, Kay Faurot, Kenton; two sons, Frank (Debra Neargarder), and David (Jodi), both of St. Marys; a stepson, Terry (Rosemary) McElroy, St. Marys; a stepdaughter, Kathy (James) Lininger, Neptune; three brothers, Carl, of Rockford, Ross, of Glynnwood, and Dale, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Ruth May Hubbard, of Lafayette, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.
Deceased are two brothers, Glenn and John Thomas; and a sister, Edith Harner.
He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. In the 1940's, he played semi-pro football. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, American Legion Post 323, Disabled American Veterans Post 119, and Eagles Lodge 767, all in St. Marys. He also was a member of the Lima Moose and Kenton Amvets.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. James Nuhfer officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Cancer Society of Auglaize County.
