Dorothy Dresher
Dorothy C. Dresher, 102, 211 E. Oak St., Celina, died at 11:45 p.m. Dec. 28, 2007, at her residence.
She was born July 18, 1905, in Cranberry Prairie, to Joseph and Philomena Huwer Quinter. On Aug. 27, 1930, she married Edwin Dresher, who died Dec. 24, 1982.
Surviving are five daughters, Lucy Ann Monnier, Covington, Marie, Celina, Susanna Heuker, Botkins, Barbara (George) Hellinger, Jackson, Ga., and Bunny (Guilbert) Jones, Donalsonville, Ga.; four brothers, Rudolph (Agnes) Quinter, Minster, Albert (Dorothy) Quinter, Troy, Anthony (Mary Ann) Quinter, Sidney, and Maurice (Dorothy ) Quinter, Fort Loramie; three sisters, Leona Pleiman, Fort Loramie, Edna Lampert, New Bremen, and Pauline Kohler, Botkins; three daughters-in-law, Mary Margaret, Necedah, Wisc., JoAnne, Celina, and Pat, Chickasaw; a brother-in-law, Cletus Huelsman, Dayton; 38 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are three sons, Joseph, John and William; two brothers, Henry and Robert Quinter; five sisters, Rosella Ossage, Henrietta Barlage, Stella Klikavits, Adeline Huelsman and Loretta Huelsman; two sons-in-law, Donald Monnier and John Heuker; and four grandsons.
She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a lay member of the Carmelite Order and a 4-H advisor for 25 years in Sharpsburg and Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Richard R. Riedel officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
