The MatDogs had a strong day at the Division II sectional at Lappin Gymnasium in Shawnee, capturing the sectional title in holding off Wapakoneta 1721/2 to 171.
WAPAKONETA - For years, the Division IV girls sectional at New Bremen, may it rest in peace, has been a graveyard for seeded teams.
Apparently it doesn't matter where the games are played, because the same thing happened Saturday at Wapakoneta.
