Joseph Dwenger
Joseph Henry Dwenger, 91, 801 S. Elm St., Celina, died at 10:35 p.m. April 15, 2008, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 8, 1916, in St. Rose, to Henry and Anna Fullenkamp Dwenger. On Jan. 30, 1943, he married Dolores M. Schwieterman, who died Nov. 17, 2004.
Surviving are four sons, James (Marilyn) and Richard, all of Celina, Joseph (Nancy), Rockford, and Thomas (Julie), Lebanon, Tenn.; four daughters, Betty (Larry) Bertke, Coldwater, Marlene (David) Boise, Wapakoneta, Marcella (Henry) Mowery, Paulding, and Bernice (Michael) Fleck, Napoleon; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Anthony; and five sisters, Elizabeth Osterloh, Mary Sturwold, Rose Meyer, Bernadette Link and Rita Link.
He retired from the former Mersman Tables in Celina and also farmed and worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10:15 a.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
