Memorial Bridge over the St. Marys River in St. Marys was lifted last fall using a jacking system operated by city personnel and Merkle Heavy Moving so that the arch could be restored to keep the bridge from sagging. An outside contractor replaced the wood shingles with red cedar shingles. The parks department also installed 241.5 tons of riprap along the river bank.
