ST. MARYS - The school district's five-year financial projection came with a proviso from the district treasurer at Wednesday night's meeting. Deficit spending is a good possibility after this coming school year.
NEW BREMEN - Village officials found an appropriate setting to commemorate the 175th birthday of this Auglaize County community - on the banks of the Miami and Erie Canal a stone's throw from recently renovated Lock One.
A six-run deficit wasn't enough to discourage the Celina ACME team.
St. Henry held a 6-0 advantage in the fourth inning, but Celina scored seven unanswered runs the rest of the way to pull out a 7-6 victory at Montgomery Field on Wednesday.
COLDWATER - For a team that had just two practices, Coldwater looked to be in midsummer form.
Three Cav pitchers combined on a three-hitter as Coldwater opened the ACME season with a 4-1 win over Parkway in Mercer County circuit action at Veterans Field. Parkway drops to 1-8.
