Lowell Schroeder
Lowell L. "Chick" Schroeder, 75, 1198 Schroeder Road, Celina, died at 2:53 p.m. June 12, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Mercer County to Augustus W. and Marie Fennig Schroeder. On Sept. 24, 1960, he married Reta M. Fennig who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Kim (Dave) Langenkamp, Coldwater, Karla (Steve) Kessler and Karen (William) Miller, all of Celina; and eight grandchildren.
He was a farmer and formerly worked at Wabash Garage, Lefeld Construction and Klosterman Construction Co. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Coldwater, where he participated in the church adult league and formerly served on the church council. He also was a member of Wabash Dart Ball League, past president of Wabash Telephone Co. and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wabash, with military rites conducted by the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
