Smashing good time

Celina High School freshman MacKenzie Welker stands tall as she prepares to strike the hood of a junk car, which symbolically represented the school's rival, the St. Marys Roughriders. The tailgate event before the Celina/St. Marys football game Friday night was sponsored by the Celina student council. Each student interested in taking three whacks at the junk car had to donate $1 toward the student council fund.
