Coldwater firefighters spray water on a smoldering pile of debris while water also sprays from a Chickasaw truck onto a few hot spots remaining in a field across U.S. 127 on Thursday, south of Celina. Mercer County dispatchers say area firefighters handled a total of six field fires on Thursday - eight since Tuesday - due to the dry weather. Auglaize County dispatchers happily reported only a few field fires in the last several weeks.
