Robert Tebbe
Robert E. Tebbe, 82, of Russia, died at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born June 13, 1926, in Sidney, to Frank and Elenora Kinninger Tebbe. On April 12, 1950, he married Marcella Meyer, who survives.
Other survivors are five sons, Joseph (Connie), Celina, Timothy (Karen), Houston, Urban (Janice) and Chris (Donna), all of Russia, and Lawrence (Joyce), Covington; two daughters, Belinda (Robert) Lindstrom, Battle Creek, Mich., and Elaine Meyer, Londonberry; a brother, Frank (Bobbie), Sidney; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Arthur; three sisters, Irene Thomas, Martha Baker and Ruth Parker; and a grandson.
He was a retired farmer and also retired after 40 years at Monarch Machine, Sidney, where is was an engineer. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, and its Men's Sodality and was the first church lector of the parish and a Eucharistic distributor. He also was a Loramie Township Zoning officer.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Revs. Frank Amberger and Jim Simons officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
