Taking care of America's symbol
Photo by Shelley Grieshop/The Daily Standard

Eighth-grade history students Taylor Clune, left, and Jenny Davenport teach fourth-graders Heather Heitkamp and Mitchel Schwieterman how to fold the flag during a Veterans' Day event held Friday at St. Henry Elementary School. Nineteen students, under the direction of their teacher, Michael Eyink, performed a parade and told the younger students about the history of the U.S. flag. They also educated the children on the proper care of the flag and concluded the celebration with the song "God Bless the USA."
