Merle Stueve
Merle Marie Stueve, 93, of Walnut Creek, Calif., died at 8:23 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008, at The Chateau at Poets Corner, Pleasant Hill, Calif.
She was born Oct. 29, 1915, in New Albany, Ind., to Fred and Charlotte Smith Krack. On Jan. 24, 1945, she married Minster resident Ferd C. Stueve, who died Aug. 14, 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Paula (Terry) Thomas, Walnut Creek, and Ann Stueve (Read McFeely), Ossining, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Louisville, Ky.
Private family services will be held in Louisville.
Contributions can be made to Hospice of the East Bay, Pleasant Hill, Calif.
Arrangements are being handled by Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel in California.
