Rita Walter
Rita M. Walter, 89, 509 N. Walnut St., Celina, died at 8:05 p.m. Feb. 14, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Guadalupe, to Clem and Sophia Buschur Delzeith. On April 21, 1945, she married Russell J. Walter, who died Jan. 24, 1988.
Surviving are four sons, James (Mary Lou), Jerry, and Terry (Carol), all of Celina, and Jack (Cheryl), Coldwater; a daughter, Karen (Jack) Hart, Celina; a brother, Cyril (Eileen) Delzeith, St. Henry; a sister, Ann (Tony) Geise, Fort Loramie; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Alvira Denning; four brothers John, Rich, Clete and Sylvester Delzeith; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Walter; and a great-granddaughter.
She worked at the former Mersman Table Company, Jack's Surplus City, and Goldstein's Department Store, all in Celina. She also worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, its Altar Rosary Society, and the Legion of Mary.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
