Work for water
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard
A crew from Shinn Brothers, Celina, works on the roof of the new water intake building located near the lighthouse on Grand Lake on Tuesday morning. The structure - commonly known as the screen house - protects the lake water going to the Celina water treatment plant from freezing during inclement weather and houses special screens to provide filtering of solids. The original building was removed from its foundation last spring by Shinn Brothers for free. The company did the work for scrap materials.
