Rosa Palomin
Rosa L. Palomin, 63, of Defiance, died at 12:20 p.m. March 27, 2009, at the Toledo Hospital. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born June 4, 1945, in Bryan, Texas to Fransico and Christafora Garcia Berlanga. On Oct. 24, 1981, she married Juan Palomin, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Tony Berlanga, at home; two daughters, Julie (Juan) Delgado, Napoleon, and Maria (Jorge) Mejia, Detroit, Mich.; five sisters, Florinda Bollenbacher, Rockford, Olivia Ortiz, Decatur, Ind., Josefina Gonzalez, Port Pear, Fla., and Janie Rose and Lena Berlanga, both of Rockford; four brothers, Frank Berlanga Jr., of Kentucky, Santo Berlanga, Rockford, Joe Berlanga, Pontiac, Mich., and Lupe Berlanga, Ohio City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Roy, John and Richard Berlanga.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Catholic Church and its Guadalupe Society, and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Defiance.
Funeral Mass is noon Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Todd Dominique officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
