Leo Fisher
Leo Joseph Fisher, 78, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 1:33 a.m., April 6, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born March 19, 1931, in Fryburg, to Clarence and Veronica Scheblo Fisher. On Oct. 9, 1954, he married Laverne Saintignon, who survives.
Other survivors are two children, Marla (Eric) Santomieri, and Larry (Lisa) Fisher, both of Wapakoneta; two brothers, Venard (Cynthia) Fisher and Kenneth (Patty) Fisher, all of Wapakoneta; a brother and sister-in-law, Eldon (Bonnie) Saintignon, Celina, and a brother-in-law, Alvin Saintignon, St. Marys; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Vernon Fisher; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Saintignon; and a great-granddaughter.
He was a farmer and had worked at Producers Livestock and Stinebaugh Construction Company, both in Wapakoneta. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Wapakoneta, and the Farm Bureau.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Oscar Seger officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at the church cemetery at a later date.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
