Fishing reward
Photo by Janie Southard/The Daily Standard
Thirty-one Celina East Elementary School students in grades K-4 went fishing Friday morning as a reward for helping reach reading goals during Right to Read Week. The kids, chosen by their teachers, found fishing was cool until you caught a fish. Then someone had to take it off the line and there were only a couple of those folks on hand. Johnnie Nash of Celina removes the wiggly fish just caught by fourth-grader Michael Flora.
