Off with a bang

A 5K run for students in grades 5-8 at Fort Recovery started off with a bang as a cannon was fired at the start of the race just outside the football field. The activity was one of many for Get REAL (Responsible Enough About Life) week at the school. After the race, high school students talked with the middle school students about setting goals and how important it is to build each other up and support each other throughout school and beyond. The week has been filled with several character-building activities, including an assembly Thursday called "Trust Me" for grades 3-8.
