Soak before cooking

There are more than 2,000 types of wild mushrooms in Ohio. Some are poison. Some aren't, and those are the ones that get people of all ages out in early spring searching for morchella, otherwise known as morel or sponge mushrooms.
Octogenarian Betty Schmitt of Mendon has been hunting mushrooms since she was a little girl living around Geneva, Ind. One of nine children, they all learned early to identify those highly-prized sponges. [More]

ELIDA - Celina and St. Marys took advantage of the wind blowing out of Ed Sandy Field in Elida as both teams won their Division II sectional openers on Saturday.
The Bulldogs concluded the tournament tripleheader by beating Van Wert 9-5 behind six strong innings on the mound from Darin Waterman and hot bats of Brian Brockly, Jeremy Kerr and Waterman. [More]

Officials of Harbor Life Ministry (formerly Harbor House) are selling their property on Fayette Street and remain steady in their dream to build a new maternity home and pregnancy center in Celina.
