Everett McLeland
Everett "Denny" McLeland, 67, of Decatur, Ind., died May 17, 2009, at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.
He was born Dec. 24, 1941, in Muncie, Ind. to Everett L. and Marjorie B. McKowen McLeland. His mother survives in Kendallville, Ind. On Dec. 4, 1976, he married Nancy L. Smitley, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Scott Michael McLeland, Celina, Kirt D. McLeland, Decatur, and Steven D. McLeland, Celina; three daughters, Miranda M. McLeland, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Kristine D. Cox, Decatur, and Jennifer L. (Doug) Vondenhuevel, Coldwater; a brother, Dale W. McLeland of Ponca City, Okla.; a sister, Mary (John) Goelz of Ft. Wayne; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Deceased is a grandson.
He was a truck driver for Central Soya in Decatur, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, Decatur, and served in the U.S. Air Force.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev. Jay Carter officiating. Burial is at Decatur Cemetery, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 43.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
