Virginia DeMora
Former St. Marys resident Virginia DeMora, 71, 100 E. 216 St., Euclid, died May 22, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born July 25, 1937, in St. Marys, to Jerome and Ruby Huffman Weadock. Her father is deceased; her mother survives in St. Marys. She married William DeMora, who survives at the residence.
Also surviving are two sons, William Paul DeMora and Michael Jerome (Christi) DeMora, all from Euclid; a sister, Ruth (Ron) Langsdon, St. Marys; two brothers: Mike (Barb) Weadock, St. Marys, and Stephen Weadock, Sidney; and two grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, and Bowling Geen State University. She was an educator for many years, having taught in the Euclid and Orange school systems. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorials may be directed to St. Marys Community Foundation or Acid Maltese and Deficiency Association.
