Roger Goettemoeller
Roger R. Goettemoeller, 73, 0487 state Route 705, Fort Loramie, died at 12:40 a.m. June 18, 2009, at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community near Sidney.
He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Fort Loramie, to Mark and Stella Brunswick Goettemoeller. On June 10, 1967, he married Marcia L. Christian who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Audra (Bruce) Bernhold, Minster, and Amber (Bob) Winner, Fort Loramie; a son, Kenneth (Brenda) Goettemoeller, St. Marys; siblings, Alice (Dennis) Routson Julian, Troy, Joan Poeppelman and Ivo Goettemoeller, both of Fort Loramie, Juanita (Irvin) Dues, Minster, and Jerry (Mary) Goettemoeller, Miamisburg; and seven grandsons.
Deceased are three sisters, Judy Goettemoeller and infants Rosemarie and Hellen Goettemoeller; two brothers-in-law, Grant Routson and Ed Poeppelman; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Goettemoeller.
He was a retired farmer and self-employed welder. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and the New Bremen Rod & Gun Club and formerly served in the Army National Guard.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Marys.
