Workers from Shinn Bros. Construction, Celina, install new water lines along Johnson Avenue in Celina on Monday morning. Celina Engineer Jeremy Hinton said the city is installing a new 12-inch water line from Main to Holly streets, along with putting in new curbs and sidewalks and paving the street. A related project is the concurrent installation of a lift station near the Buckeye Street intersection. The water line is important because it fills the East Jefferson water tower, Hinton says. The expected completion date for the whole stretch of road and water improvements is late August.
