Thomas Johnston
Thomas B. Johnston, 49, Tipton, Ind., died at 4:16 p.m. June 24, 2009 at Tipton Hospital. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Aug. 26, 1959, in Portland, Ind., to Robert and Aletha Remaklus Johnston. His mother survives in Portland; his father is deceased. On Nov. 3, 1979, he married Martha Rose Beymer, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Ryan Thomas Johnston, Indianapolis; two daughters, Amy Lucille (Aaron) Moats , Windfall, and Amber Marie (Josh) Stephens, Kokomo; seven brothers, Ron (Jo), Carl, Gary (Cecelia), Richard (Patty), Dan, Mark and Bob Johnston; three sisters, Diana (Jack) Link, Karen (Dale) Wolford, and Jane Johnston, all of Portland, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
He was the owner of Johnston Heating and Air Conditioning and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, both in Tipton.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, the Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial is at St. John's Cemetery, Tipton.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
