Donald King
Donald Gene King, 61, 400 Bruns Ave., Apt. 41, Celina, died at 12:17 p.m. Aug. 15, 2009, at the Community Health Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert. Death was due to congestive heart failure.
He was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Wapakoneta to Ora Sr. and Mary McMillan King. His first wife, Judy Ralston, is deceased. On Dec. 14, 1996, he married Karen Sue Lehman Cotrell, who survives.
Other survivors are four sons, Michael (Carmen) Cotrell, Fort Recovery, William (Ashleigh) Cotrell, Rockford, Scott (Amber) Cotrell and Brian Cotrell, all of Celina; a daughter, Sandra (Brian) Holbrook, Celina; a son-in-law, Kevin Russell, Cloverdale; two brothers, Ora King Jr., Wapakoneta, and David King, Celina; six sisters, Alice Betty, Leona, Linda, Joyce and Margaret Vian, Celina; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Catherine Russell; a brother, James King; and two grandchildren.
He was formerly employed by Airport Manufacturing, New Knoxville, and Koneta Rubber, Wapakoneta. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Services are 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Richard Cotrell officiating. Military honors will be conducted immediately following the service.
