Trout fishin'
Photo by Shelley Grieshop/The Daily Standard
Anglers cast their lines Friday morning seconds after hundreds of rainbow trout were released into a channel along state Route 364 near Grand Lake. State workers block off the channel so the fish cannot escape into the lake. This is the seventh consecutive year the Ohio Division of Wildlife has stocked the trout in the channel. Dan Kovalaske, a fish management technician, dumped all 738 trout into the channel in about five minutes. Anglers should use night crawlers, minnows and wax worms to catch the trout.
