Carl J. Plas, 68, formerly of St. Patrick, died at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 27, 2009, at Fair Haven County Home, Sidney.

He was born Nov. 15, 1940, in St. Patrick to Bernard and Martha Poeppelman Plas.

Surviving are a brother, Alvin Plas, Sidney; and three sisters, Norma (Ron) Stangel, Anna, Lois (Gary) Gross, Anna, and Mary Ann (Richard) Knostman, Troy.

He worked at S&H Products, Sidney, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville.

Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating. Burial is at St. Patrick Cemetery.

Calling is 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fair Haven Home or S&H Products, Sidney.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
