Shinn Brothers, Celina, were on the job Monday in Rockford tearing down the old Doris Yocum residence, which has not been inhabited in more than 30 years. Demolishing a local house was necessary for points toward the $400,000 neighborhood revitalization grant the village received this year. Owner Darrin Dellinger of Dayton donated the house, but retains the property that will be cleared as greenspace.
