Byron Jerome
Byron Max Jerome, 90, of Dayton died at 2 a.m. Dec. 16, 2009, at Kettering Medical Center, Dayton.
He was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Van Wert to Perry M. and Princess L. Snyder Jerome. On Aug. 2, 1941, he married Dolores Rice, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jeff Jerome, Northampton, Mass.; a daughter, Joyce (Terry) Gressner, Kettering; a sister, Janet E. Chadwick, E. Liverpool; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers, Kenneth P., Kenton C., Forest Martin, Donald E., and Chalice M. Jerome; four sisters, Jessie Jerome, Geraldine Denig, Vivian Anderson and Miriam Agler.
He was a retired civil servant from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
Calling is 11-2 p.m. at Cowan and Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. Burial will follow at Goodwin Cemetery, York Township.
