Truck accident

Only burned out wreckage of a semitrailer owned by Cheeseman Trucking of Fort Recovery remains following a Tuesday morning fire that slowed traffic along U.S. 127, south of the Mercer County line. The unidentified driver escaped without injury after noticing flames shooting from the tires and spreading to the trailer shortly after 6:15 a.m. North Star Fire Department and the Piqua post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined. Traffic was held to one lane throughout part of the morning.
